Big Sky Has Been a Star Performer at Concours Events for More Than 30 Years
Shortly after Big Sky arrived at Lake Tahoe in 1985 in the condition you can see below, she underwent the first of many restorations that would turn her into a Concours event superstar. First, experienced boat-collector Alan Furth set his crew to work; later when the Boldt family acquired her, another set of restorations were begun.
The results have been spectacular. In her Concours event career spanning more that 30 years, Big Sky has won more than 30 "class" awards, plus another 20+ "overall" awards at Concours events spanning from Texas to California, to Idaho, to Montana and beyond. The table below is only a partial list of her awards.
We are particularly proud of her record in winning coveted "Peoples' Choice" awards at some of the largest and most prestigious Concours events in the United States. In fact, Big Sky holds the record for the most consecutive, and most overall Peoples" Choice awards at the Lake Tahoe Concours.
